JVC RC-727
The RC-727 was a high-quality boombox from JVC. It was introduced in 1977 or 1978. What's cool is that it has both VU meters as well as an LED peak indicator. It was also one of the few JVC's to have Stereo Wide. There is a version called the RC-727JW which has universal voltage and shortwave.
Power output is 2 watts per channel using the FTC measurement standard, which is the most conservative. Most other manufacturers would have used a more liberal standard like "RMS Max" or "Music Power".
